Columbia Gorge Model Railroad Club was founded in 1947. Since then, many model train enthusiasts have come together to pour their hearts and souls into creating an epic Columbia Gorge train line.
When I first walked into the club, I was fascinated by the fine details that were painstakingly rendered to represent the actual locations. Snow-topped Cascades. Portland skyline. It was clear what kind of story needed to be told about this magical place. The club is a miniature representation of the Pacific NW (vast nature and towns/cities) that invites participants to experience the one-of-a-kind beauty through model trains.
